Born on August 3, 2009, Jade Marie Beasley was a bright, funny, and sassy 11 year old girl. A sixth grader, she attended Marion Junior High School and enjoyed playing the flute. Jade also loved art, playing video games, butterflies, and all animals. She greatly adored her family, traveling to the south to visit her cousins, and attending events at the public library during the summer.
Jade had an energetic personality and shared many laughs with her loved ones. A favorite story often told by her grandmother recounts the time that Jade "baptized herself" in the pool several times as a little girl. Jade cherished her time going to church and learning more about God.
Jade's life leaves behind a legacy of kindness and authenticity, motivating this Foundation's members to keep her light shining.
On December 5, 2020, Jade became the victim of homicide at the hands of her stepmother. For three years, family and friends have supported law enforcement officers and the southern Illinois judicial system in achieving Justice for Jade. During this difficult period, family and friends began to explore the idea of creating a non-profit charity which would create positive change in the community by growing kindness and spreading love. At the beginning of 2023, this idea sparked our Vision and Mission, developing our Foundation into what it is today.
